It is a special anniversary for ‘Aero Friedrichshafen’. For the 30th time, experts will be meeting at the leading international trade fair for general aviation. Bremen/ Bremerhaven will be taking part and showcasing the strengths of the City of Aerospace at a joint booth of the German federal state of Bremen, which is being organised by WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH/ BremenInvest on behalf of the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ports and Transformation.
‘Over 35,000 visitors and 650 exhibiting companies and institutions from 35 countries – we are using this global platform to show what Bremen can do in the field of aviation. We have a lot to offer as for example surveillance and control technology, production and services relating to drones and their integration into airspace,’ says Kristina Vogt, Minister for Economic Affairs, Ports and Transformation, at the start of the trade event. ‘This year we are celebrating ‘100 years of aircraft production in Bremen’. This is also the motto of our booth here at the trade fair. However, the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen is also excellently positioned for the presence and future. It is home to leading international companies and research institutions as one of the leading industry hubs in Germany.’
On the 100 square metre joint booth, the Bremen-based company b.r.m. IT & Aerospace, a service provider in the IT and aviation industry, OptoPrecision GmbH, which specialises in the development, design and manufacture of individual and sophisticated solutions for measurement, monitoring and control technology, Hanseatic Aviation Solutions GmbH with production and services relating to drones and ground systems, Bremen’s Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials Research IFAM, Airbus Defence and Space as the European competence centre for unmanned aerial systems and sustainable aviation and Cast Coil, a specialist for next-generation electric drives. Lufthansa Industry Solutions AS GmbH and Sigma Aerospace Metals are also logo partners.
Bremen is celebrating the anniversary year ‘100 years of aircraft production’ with various activities aiming at both, the general public and a specialist audience. In addition to a dedicated tram, events and activities, there will be a series of lectures in which renowned experts will report on the past, present and future of the industry. They share their own experiences and expectations for the future, showcase historical findings and insights into the philosophical and literary world of ‘human flight’.
