We are pleased to introduce TOOLTIP, the latest member to join the Aviaspace community. Founded in July 2022 in Lübeck, TOOLTIP is a dynamic software company specialising in manufacturing technology for the B2B sector. With a unique platform that simplifies the search for cutting tools, TOOLTIP aims to change the way metal machining companies find and purchase suitable tools for their machinery.
Who is TOOLTIP?
TOOLTIP is a young, innovative startup dedicated to revolutionizing the tool selection process for CNC machining companies. Founded by Dr Dmytro Borysenko and Artem Maidanovych, who identified a critical gap in the market during their time as project engineers at the University of Magdeburg, TOOLTIP aims to simplify and accelerate the search for the perfect cutting tools. The platform serves as a search engine for manufacturers, helping them find the right tools for specific applications — whether it’s drills, milling tools, or other tools. The manufacturing companies, who machine aluminium, titanium, CFRP and stacks materials to produce parts for the aerospace applications, can use the platform to find suitable tools. It is also possible to integrate the old tools suppliers, which still work in the very analogue way, into the platform.
Additionally, TOOLTIP assists cutting tool suppliers and manufacturers in digitalizing their sales processes through custom-built online shops. This dual approach benefits both sellers and buyers, making the entire tool procurement process more efficient and user-friendly. What began as a small venture has quickly evolved into a dynamic team dedicated to transforming the manufacturing technology sector.

What TOOLTIP Offers
TOOLTIP offers a comprehensive, manufacturer-independent tool search platform that centralises the search process for precision tools for CNC machining. Users can avoid the time-consuming task of going through individual catalogues by finding everything they need in one place. The platform allows for quick comparisons of tools, prices and availability and enables users to place orders with multiple suppliers simultaneously with just one click.
The platform features a wide selection of precision tools designed for machining, including turning tools, milling tools, drills, countersinks, reamers, and taps. It is possible to also find tools from small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. TOOLTIP also provides tools for fine machining, ensuring the highest precision and surface quality. Their selection includes tools made from various materials such as solid carbide, high-speed steel (HSS), boron nitride (CBN), polycrystalline diamond (PCD), and monocrystalline diamond (MKD), both coated and uncoated.
