Germany’s Space Hub Opens a New Chapter in Aerospace
07.02.2025The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) has launched the Space Innovation Hub in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg) in order to further strengthen German aerospace in international competition and drive technological progress.
The Space Innovation Hub is aimed at start-ups, established companies, investors, the public sector and the scientific community. The aim is to develop customised solutions through the exchange of ideas and expertise that increase both Germany’s competitiveness and security in space.
A particular focus here is on cooperation between public institutions and private stakeholders. To this end, workshops will be held in future at which companies can meet with the public sector (e.g. ministries, authorities and the Bundeswehr). In addition, start-ups in the New Space scene are to be supported with targeted services in future – from advice on specialised topics and financing options to arranging contacts with venture capitalists. Particularly promising projects, whether in the civilian, military or dual-use sector, are to be realised within the hub in the future.
The hub starts immediately and is operated by the German Space Agency at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR).
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to advance your company or your research in the space sector – the Space Innovation Hub offers the ideal platform for dialogue, networking and the further development of pioneering ideas.
