Can aerospace become (more) sustainable?

26. 10. 2023 17:00 - 20:00

An event by Starthaus – DHI and ASTRA e.V.

Is sustainable aerospace possible at all? And what do companies actually have to do for this? We will dive into a topic that also plays a major role in Bremen.

Bremen is one of the world’s top locations for aerospace. With more than 140 companies and 20 institutes from the industry in and around Bremen, the region is an important location for innovative and sustainable space technologies.

So the question is more than justified: How sustainable is aerospace anyway? Can it be made more sustainable in the future? Get an insight into the answers to these questions and discuss with us what would have to be done for this to happen.

We will start the evening with an open discussion round to get into the first conversation. Afterwards, some startups will present their take on the topic and give an insight into their ideas for a more sustainable aerospace.
More details on the program can be found below. The event will be bilingual (English / German).

About the organizers:
The student association ASTRA e.V. pursues the vision of linking theory and practice during studies. In this way, the non-profit association gives students from Bremen the opportunity to gain valuable know-how. In the current Karman project, they are developing and building a sounding rocket to reach the Karman line (100 km).

In the Starthaus Initiative, the start-up scene in the state of Bremen works closely together to support young companies on their way to independence.
