11.06.2021For the past 17 years, the Galileo Masters competition has helped support the development of new technology, business cases and applications based on Galileo and GNSS data. The mission of the Galileo Masters is to scout cutting-edge GNSS solutions and business cases in the field of agriculture, healthcare, cyber security, environment, etc and to help motivate innovators to develop applications that can use Satellite Navigation technologies in everyday life.
To participate in the Galileo Masters, you must choose a Partner Challenge as well as one regional Galileo Prize. The state of Bremen will participate in the Galileo Masters with a Galileo Prize Bremen, organized by Aviaspace Bremen e.V. with support from Starthaus Bremen.
The winner of the Galileo Prize Bremen will receive 2,250EUR cash prize, business incubation support, one year of rent-free co-working space, access to expert feedback and promotion of their business idea. If your business idea goes on to win the overall Galileo Masters 2021, you will receive an additional 10,000EUR cash prize to help fast track your winning concept.
Past winners of the Galileo Prize Bremen include Flucto, with their motion sensor boxes that help improve the installation of offshore wind turbines and PlanBlue, with their technology and underwater camera that maps the sea floor. PlanBlue’s innovative technology earned them the title of overall winner of the Galileo Masters 2018.
All participants must be natural or legal persons of an EU Member State or European Economic Area (EEA), European Neighbouring Countries (ENP) or other countries with which the EU has space dialogues and cooperation: USA, Canada, Latin America, Africa, Gulf Cooperation Countries, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand. In order to receive the Galileo Prize Bremen awards, winners must be registered in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
